SEMH & Nurture Specialist

Hello

As an SEMH & Nurture specialist, I am dedicated to supporting children in their quest for happiness and success, both at school and at home.  I am passionate about supporting children via a nurturing approach and helping them to reach their full potential.  I believe that with the right support, all children can reach for the stars!

My Story

With nearly 15 years of hands-on experience, I've dedicated my career to working closely with children facing social, emotional, mental health and attachment difficulties. My expertise lies in providing comprehensive support tailored to each child's unique needs, particularly those struggling with challenging behaviors. I have a proven track record of collaborating with parents to implement effective strategies for managing these behaviors at home, fostering a supportive environment for both children and families.

Throughout my career, I've played a pivotal role in establishing and managing nurture provisions within special and mainstream primary educational settings, ensuring that children receive the nurturing support they require to thrive. Additionally, I've conducted training sessions for school leaders and teaching staff across the county of Rutland, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage children with attachment difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Building strong and trusting relationships with both parents and children is at the core of my approach. By understanding their individual needs and challenges, I'm able to tailor interventions and strategies that promote positive outcomes and overall family well-being. My passion lies in empowering families to navigate challenges and cultivate happier, healthier relationships. Through collaborative efforts and personalised support, I strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in need.
